COMPUTEX 2027: a visitor guide to Taipei's trade week

COMPUTEX runs Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 June 2027 across Nangang Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 and TWTC Hall 1, organised by TAITRA and the Taipei Computer Association. Who the show is for, what the organiser has and has not yet published for 2027, and how admission worked in 2026, labelled as the pattern it is.

The short answer: COMPUTEX Taipei 2027 takes place from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 June 2027, across Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2 and TWTC Hall 1 in Xinyi. The dates and venues come from the organiser's own closing release for the 2026 show, which also confirmed that the 2027 edition continues under the AI Together theme, with the InnoVEX startup exhibition alongside. COMPUTEX is a trade show: most of the week is for registered industry visitors, and the organiser has not yet published the 2027 admission rules. This guide separates what is confirmed for 2027 from how admission worked in 2026, so nobody plans a public visit the organiser has not promised.

The show, in scale

COMPUTEX has run since 1981 and is jointly held by TAITRA, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, and the Taipei Computer Association. Its own figures for the 2026 edition give the shape a visitor should expect: 111,312 buyers and visitors from 152 countries and regions across the week, a keynote programme from the chief executives of the major chip and platform companies, a forum programme, and InnoVEX, the co-located startup exhibition, which in 2026 drew more than 500 startups and nine national pavilions. The show's centre of gravity is AI computing, robotics and intelligent mobility, and next generation technology, and its business is meetings: product launches, sourcing talks and partnership deals, conducted on stands and in the meeting rooms around the halls.

The two venue clusters

The week runs on two sites, and the distance between them shapes your day. Nangang, in the east of the city at the end of the Bannan and Wenhu metro lines, holds Halls 1 and 2 and the bulk of the show, including InnoVEX. TWTC Hall 1 stands in Xinyi beside Taipei 101, around forty minutes away by metro with a change. Exhibitors are split between the clusters by section, and the organiser publishes the allocation with the floor plans closer to the show. The working pattern for a first time visitor is to give each cluster whole days rather than commuting between them, and to build meetings cluster by cluster. Hotels price accordingly: Nangang and the eastern Bannan line corridor serve the main halls, Xinyi and the downtown districts serve TWTC and the evening programme of launches and receptions that fills the districts around both sites.

Who can attend: the 2026 rules, as a pattern

The organiser's published visiting information for 2026 worked as follows, and it is the best guide available until the 2027 rules appear. Business professionals and investors could attend on all show days, by online pre-registration through the official site, which issued a QR code; international professionals exchanged the code and two business cards for a badge on arrival, and on site registration ran at counters in the halls. The general public was admitted on one day only, the final day of the show, by ticket: NT$200 at full price and NT$100 concession, with under 18s not admitted on any day, and a business dress expectation stated in the guidelines. Show hours in 2026 were 9.30am to 5.30pm, with a shorter final day.

For 2027, none of that has been confirmed yet. Registration windows, the public day arrangement if any, ticket prices and hours for 1 to 4 June 2027 will be set in the organiser's visiting information, expected in the months before the show. If the 2026 shape holds, trade registration will open in the spring and a public ticket day, if offered, will fall on the final day, Friday 4 June. Treat that as a pattern to verify on computextaipei.com.tw, not as a promise, and do not book travel around a public day until TAITRA publishes it.

Practical notes for trade visitors

Register online rather than on site when registration opens: the badge exchange for international visitors asks for the registration QR code and two business cards, so carry physical cards. The keynote and forum sessions are the week's scarcest seats and are allocated through the organiser's channels rather than at the door; if a keynote matters to your trip, register interest as soon as the programme is published. Taipei in the first week of June is hot and humid with the plum rains around, the metro is air conditioned and reliable, and the rain plan is simply to stay on it. Book hotels early: trade week fills the Nangang, Xinyi and main station districts, and rates move months out. Finally, the show week ends the day before the Dragon Boat Festival weekend crowds would normally travel, but in 2027 Dragon Boat Festival falls the following Wednesday, 9 June, so the Friday finish runs into an ordinary weekend rather than a holiday peak. More trade listings are under expo and trade.
