About this event
The Chiayi City International Band Festival is one of Asia's established wind band gatherings, running since the 1990s and filling the city with marching parades and concert-hall performances. The Tourism Administration events calendar lists the 2026 edition from 18 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. Most outdoor and parade programming is free, anchored around the Central Fountain roundabout and city venues. It gives Chiayi a festive, walkable year-end drawcard.
