About this event

Expected dates. The Taipei Lunar New Year Market turns Dihua Street in Dadaocheng, the city's historic dried goods and Chinese medicine trading street, into a pedestrianised festival market of New Year foods, dried seafood, sweets, tea and decorations, with the street closed to traffic and a no smoking zone in force. Taipei City Government's 2026 press pack dates that edition from 31 January to 15 February, the sixteen days ending the day before Lunar New Year's Eve. The 2027 window applies the same shape to the 2027 calendar: sixteen days ending on Thursday 4 February, the day before New Year's Eve on 5 February, and so opening on Wednesday 20 January. The city confirms the theme and stall programme in January.
