About this event
Dates for the 2027 season are not yet announced. The festival's official site shows the 2026 season ran from 4 to 20 July 2026, with the Sea Fishing King contest judged across three target species, neritic squid, largehead hairtail and mackerel, using catches photographed with the official measuring ruler on certified charter boats. Weekly leaderboards were published during the season and final results announced on 22 July 2026. The 2027 window shown here follows the same early to mid July pattern. Joining a night squid fishing trip is paid through the charter boat operators, while harbour side season events are free.
