About this event
The Sun Moon Lake Marathon is one of Taiwan's signature scenic races, run on the roads around the lake in Nantou County. The 2026 edition is set for Sunday 1 November 2026 with the start and finish at the Xiangshan Visitor Center, and distances from a 6K fun run up to the full 42K marathon. The Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area lists the race window as 06:00 to 14:00. Entry fees published by the organiser start at NT$1,300 for the shortest distance and NT$1,800 for the marathon.
