About this event
Challenge Taiwan draws around 6,000 athletes to Taitung each spring for full and middle distance racing around Flowing Lake and the Pacific coast highway. The 2026 edition ran on 25 and 26 April, and triathlon calendars list the 2027 race on Saturday 24 April 2027, in line with the event's fixed late April pattern. The organiser's own site had not published a confirmed 2027 date when checked on 27 October 2026, so this record is marked expected and rests on that annual late April pattern plus the calendar listing.
