About this event
Expected dates. Changhua County's lantern season decorates the Baguashan Great Buddha scenic area above Changhua City with themed light displays from the Christmas period through the Lantern Festival season. The 2025 to 2026 edition ran from 27 December 2025 to 3 March 2026, closing on Lantern Festival day itself. The 2027 window mirrors that shape, opening on the Saturday after Christmas and closing on Wednesday 3 March, the anniversary point of the previous season's run. Changhua County Government confirms the theme and lighting hours in December.
