About this event
Dates for the 2027 festival are not yet announced. Hsinchu City Government information for the 2026 edition shows it opened with a lighting ceremony at 18:00 on 14 February 2026 and ran for 23 days to 8 March 2026, with one main lantern and eight lantern sets across Dongmen City Gate, the moat park and Hsinchu Park. The 2026 edition used the Rody jumping horse as its theme character. The 2027 window shown here applies the same pattern against the 2027 calendar, starting three days before Lunar New Year and ending five days after the Lantern Festival. The lantern areas are free to visit.
