About this event
Zou Wang began as a fire crossing rite for warding off disaster and is now a race in which teams carry deity sedan chairs at speed around Lizejian. The township event fell on 28 February 2026, the Saturday before the Lantern Festival, at Yong'an Temple. In 2027 the Lantern Festival itself, 20 February, is a Saturday, so the rite is expected on 20 February 2027. Wujie Township had not published the 2027 edition at verification time.
