About this event
Expected dates. The festival has run every summer since 1996 and the Tourism Administration lists the 2026 edition from 4 July to 16 August at Dongshan River Water Park, so the 2027 edition is expected on a similar early July to mid August window. It was the first children's event in Asia certified by CIOFF, the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts. The programme mixes water attractions, exhibitions, performances and games, with folk troupes invited from many countries. It is one of the anchor events of the Taiwan summer holiday season and draws families from across the island.
