About this event
Expected dates. Run by Tainan City Government since 2012, the Yuejin Port Lantern Festival fills the Yuejin Port waterfront park and Yanshui's old lanes with commissioned light art rather than traditional zodiac lanterns, and its 2018 edition won a Red Dot design award. The 2026 edition ran from 7 February to 8 March, opening about ten days before Lunar New Year and closing the Sunday after Lantern Festival. The 2027 window rests on that pattern: a Saturday opening in the run up to Lunar New Year (6 February 2027) and a close on Sunday 7 March. The city cultural bureau confirms the curatorial theme and dates late in the year.
