About this event
Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which in 2027 is Wednesday 9 June, and the DGPA 2027 calendar lists it as a one day public holiday with no long weekend. Families eat zongzi rice dumplings, hang mugwort and calamus, and watch dragon boat racing on rivers and harbours across Taiwan. Because the holiday sits midweek in 2027, the big city race meetings are expected to spread across the surrounding days.
