About this event
The DGPA 2027 government office calendar sets the Lunar New Year break from Thursday 4 February to Wednesday 10 February 2027, seven days in total. The break covers the day before New Year's Eve, New Year's Eve on 5 February and the first days of the new year, with 9 and 10 February as substitute rest days because the first two festival days fall on a weekend. It is the peak domestic travel period of the year, and trains, high speed rail and hotels sell out well ahead. There are no make-up working Saturdays in 2027.
