About this event
Lunar New Year Day is the first day of the first lunar month, which falls on Saturday 6 February 2027 and opens the Year of the Goat. The DGPA calendar lists Spring Festival as the first day of the first lunar month and builds the official holiday around it. Families visit temples for the first incense of the year, exchange red envelopes and travel home for reunion meals. Most shops and offices close, while temples, night markets and tourist districts stay busy.
