About this event
Expected dates. Lukang Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, listed at international level in the Tourism Administration's 2026 to 2027 biennial calendar, is Taiwan's oldest and largest Dragon Boat Festival celebration, centred on night racing on the Fulu River with a Dragon King rite, parades and an old town light festival. In 2026 the festival and its international championships ran for three days, 19 to 21 June, from Dragon Boat Festival itself into the weekend, with 173 teams racing. In 2027 the festival falls on Wednesday 9 June, so the celebration is expected to span the festival and the following weekend within the window shown. Changhua County Government confirms the race days and series programme in the spring.
