About this event
Dates for 2027 have not yet been announced. The Culture and Tourism Bureau of Miaoli County lists the festival as an annual April and May event, because tung flowers bloom for two full months in the Hakka settlements of Miaoli and are nicknamed the snow of April and May. The bureau lists more than a dozen tung blossom trails, including the Jiantan Historic Trail in Zhaoqiao, trails in Toufen, Sanwan and Shitan, and several trails around Sanyi and Longteng Bridge. Group weddings under the blossoming tung trees are a signature part of the festival.
