About this event
The Matsu Marathon runs on Nangan, the largest of the Matsu Islands in Lienchiang County, over steep island roads past military heritage sites, tunnels and granite villages. The Tourism Administration lists the 2026 edition on Saturday 7 November 2026 in its November events calendar. The course is known as one of the toughest in Taiwan thanks to its relentless climbs. Getting there is part of the adventure, by ferry from Keelung or a short flight from Taipei Songshan.
