Dates for 2027 have not yet been announced. The Matsu National Scenic Area Headquarters launched its Mazu in Matsu programme in May 2026 with pilgrimage processions and island blessings, and its Glimmers in Matsu series opened in spring with a grand birthday celebration at the Tianhou Temple in Magang, Nangan. The temple is a major pilgrimage site, and the birthday of Mazu falls on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, 29 April 2027. A spring 2027 celebration around the birthday and through May is expected on that pattern.
