About this event
The 2027 hike has not yet been given its own event page. The Matsu National Scenic Area Headquarters ran a Matsu Bishan Sunrise Hiking Event for New Year 2026, and its Glimmers in Matsu series was reported by ICRT as ending on New Year's Day 2027 with visitors climbing Mount Bi to welcome the sunrise. Bishan is the highest point in the Matsu Islands, with panoramic views over Beigan. The hike is the winter finale of a year round Matsu programme covering wartime heritage, Eastern Fujian culture, religion and nature.
